Bangalow New South Wales Cover From 1936

Tonight I will share a cover from my postal history collection, postmarked 2 April 36 from Bangalow, NSW, Australia to Boston, Mass, USA. Penciled on it is: "Grad There - Try 688 Boylston St." The contents must have been for a student who recently graduated.

I had to look up the town of Bangalow on the web. It looks like a nice small town to visit, as I'm a small town guy myself.

I guess if you owned a small house there, you would have a "bungalow" in Bangalow!

As a guess to the path and sequence of markings ...

It got to Boston, found to be insufficiently addressed. A postal clerk added "try 688 Boylston St" and stamped it with the circled letter or number as his clerk ID mark.

Then the university registrar opened it and added the note the sender was asking about a graduate or about grad school in the theology dept.

That makes sense John, as the cover does have a clerk id handstamp.
