Jodie, This isn't really the right thread to ask that question. I can see you have already asked in an expertising one which is correct.
I hope you find your answer soon though.

Here are a few I found recently which I think are rather nice. These were from packets in a charity shop.
One contained a variety of Red Cross stamps.

I like the Finnish chapel one, reminds me of these from Norway.

Ryan thanks for letting me know that it was Slania who engraved the Hill stamp. Yeah it looked too good to have been done by any ordinary engraver.

When you mentioned the printers were Harrison I was surprised because I always considered them to be only capable of photogravure printing.
Then I remembered reading that Harrison bought intaglio (recess) presses to get into the banknote business and since they were doing quite well De la Rue bought them out to stifle the competition.

Those Norwegian stamps are marvellous.

They're part of a multi-year series called "Norwegian Buildings" with 16 stamps.
Small stamps but superb quality.

The engravers were 3 different ones:
- H. Welde
- K. Lokke-Sorensen
- S. Morken

That is a lovely set Litho.
I went to my first stamp exibition today. It was the 75th anniversary of the Basingstoke society (Baspex).
There were some excellent exhibits there. One in particular was an appreciation of the work of Pierre Gandon. Beautiful exibit and stamps.
I won these amongst other thing in the raffle.

You're lucky to be able to see exhibits from the likes of Gandon, wish we had something like that here in Canada.

I agree with you Andrew, to be able to get such detail on such a small area is amazing.
I don't have too many Norwegian stamps but this is my favourite.

That's the 1982 Silver Jubilee of King Olav V stamp by Lokke-Sorensen. Another beautiful engraving. And a large one too.

Thanks, I still think the USA Back of book issues are some of the most beautiful Stamps in the world. The IR's, Newspaper, Parcel Post and Airmails all have some beautiful engraving.

Here is the US 1909 Alaska-Yukon-Pacific Exposition issue, William H. Seward.
