Don't expect to get a response from Otto Peetoom any time soon, regrettably, he passed away in July this year. Although, it is likely that a family member is still "minding the store".
If I recall correctly, excluding the monochrome coil stamps, there were actually nine or ten different printings of this stamp.
These are collected in bilingual pairs, one stamp in English "South Africa" the other in Afrikaans "Suid Afrika", and even as pairs, most printings are catalogued at very little, with singles such as yours only worth a few pennies.
Having the Afrikaans stamp either as a single, or part of a pair, makes identification so much easier, as some printings had the "Suid-Afrika" hyphenated.
As for errors, there are a number of listed varieties, none of which are outlandishly expensive, and even if yours was one of the more expensive of these, the way that the top and bottom perfs have been trimmed away would essentially make it worthless.
