Anyone ever see one of these. It was in an old time collection with a note stating one of two known ?! The serial number is 385 so I question that. Supposedly ex Hurst. Any info is appreciated Thanks Mike
Apparently the Centennial Expo levied a tax on more than just mineral water. Here's a tax stamp for malt liquor. I have only seen this photocopy; I'd love to see the actual revenue. Were there more like these?
There are three of the mineral water tax denominations and seven of the beer tax. The TAR article lists them. Below are a couple pictures of both types. These will be listed in the new Springer Catalogue.
