Greetings, 72 year old retiree here. My grand daughter is putting together a stamp presentation for school and she got me interested in revisiting my old hobby. Been at least since the early 70s since I poured over my little treasures. Looking forward to taking the many ventures I remember on stamps. Glad I found a relatively active forum.
Wish all a happy holiday season if possible.
Ed

Ed, It is never too late to enjoy life and hobbies. Collecting for the enjoyment of collecting, whatever that might be, is the name of the game. Don't hesitate to ask questions especially if you need basic information and especially more advanced sources of information for any possible topic. You should be able to find folks on this board a little further along on their collecting journey glad to share experiences. Russ (also 72) |

Many thanks for the replies folks. Geez here I thought I was too old to post. My wife (of 43 years in a week) says I am acting like a kid again. Lol |

Experienced stamps need a home too. I'd rather have an example that is imperfect than no example. I collect for enjoyment, not investment. APS Member #223433 Postmark Collectors Club Member #6333 Meter Stamp Society Member #1409 |

You are 72 years young. I have a friend that age who actively buys big lots and breaks them up to sell individually as a retirement hobby and believe it or not, to provide some income in his retirement. He is enjoying every minute of what he does. |
