These are German postage due stamps, of minimal value. The key word to search for is "Dienstmarke".

I believe that these stamps are Official stamps rather than Postage dues.
They are listed in SG and Scott as Officials.

"Dienst" means service in German. In this context they mean official government service.

Mr. Shami here belongs to a few Facebook groups. He has been told, repeatedly, where to gather information regarding stamps and postmarks. I, personally have given him the links to Stamp Smarter, to assist him. Also, beware if asked to buy/sell/trade. He has been accused of running a scam.... saying he will purchase an item and then cheat you out of the payment. I am not saying he does this, but others have accused him of it. Just making anyone here aware of his reputation in other groups.

Thank you, BakerJ. Good to know. Explains a lot.

Thanks also to littleriverphil for that link. Hadn't seen that thread at the time. I too agree with the gist of what cjpalermo 1964 has said, as it applies pretty well also to this present thread.

Thankfully, there are enough good members, and one excellent moderator, who together keep this forum the valuable and enjoyable asset and resource that it has been.

You're welcome Erik, I thought of Mr Charm here immediately when I read that.
