Franklin Plating Help Please

stamp has some perf and centering issues
but I thought would be good/easy stamp to plate with centerline present
I was wrong (at least for me)
please help me figure this out



My logic so far:

type? Geez I thought it was a V (Scott 24) when I first saw ornaments incomplete upper right
but then has complete lower line at bottom
must be a II. (Scott 20). could be a IIIa (Scott 22)?

has to be left pane position (10 ,20, 30, 40 , 50, etc), right?

Are those curls I see (see arrow above "N" at bottom left)???

Are there curls on plate 11 or 12? It must be these plates (secret mark, right?)

Help please. (txstamp, Dudley, Sinclair or any others?). didn't mean to leave anyone out.

rgstamp, the heavy dot in the medallion behind Franklin's head identifies this as either a Plate 11 or Plate 12 stamp, so Type V (#24) is out. The bottom ornaments narrow it down to Plate 11, likely Relief B, making it Type IIIA (#22). Not enough is currently published about Plate 11 to enable us to plate the position, however.

100L11 and 10L11 are pictured in Neinken and not a match

That leaves 8 possible positions? B reliefs are all IIIa on plate 11

So I guess this is IIIA Scott 22.

Are those curls I see? Have you ever heard of curls on plate 11?

On Plate 11 the stamps in rows 3, 5, 7, 9 and 10 were Relief B, so there are 5 possible positions with center line (including 100L11).

No doubt its plate 11 10L column. Good item !

I really should merge this thread in to the plate 11 thread. I have not been doing much philately last year due to work- now in Day 12 quarantine. Extra time!

regardless, as soon as I opened up plate 11 thread I found this straddle margin pic

I wouldn't be surprised if it the sister to my stamp (meaning it is the other side of straddle!)

take a look at incomplete ornaments L, M, N on my stamp left pane stamp versus one in plate 11 thread from right pane straddle

I think its a match! ( of course it still could be 3 others but I say match)

Your stamp appears to be a B-relief while the one from the other thread is an A-relief.

are you sure my stamp is not relief-A as well? hard to tell with top cuts off and cancel on lower left?

looks to me that top line ends just above right part of T? but must admit stamp is cut off here.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's a B-relief. I think the top line only appears to end there. Lots of things happen to those perf tips starting right at the time of separation.
