In recent Canadian acquisition, ended up with 3 more Scott 17. Trying to match up shades with the Unitrade catalogue.

From left to right - I have
red lilac - 17
violet - 17a
purplish - 17e
brown - 17b
brown (slight purplish tint to my eyes) - 17b shade
deep brown - 17b

The one at the end is odd - trimmed at some point, is deep brown. Identified in the source collection as a 16, but that seems unlikely. Cannot really tell the perfs given how little is left, perhaps it was trimmed to conceal the fact that is perf 12 (and thus Scott 17) and not 11.75? Theories welcome!

This is what I do some times to see the colour without the stamp interfering with what colour I am trying to verify.

Just something I do once in a while.

gmot - please indicate each stamps perforations as the first two from the left have different perfs as far as I can see and both 17 and 17a should be Perf. 12.

wert - please indicate the colours by colour key name that you have shown.

Thanks for feedback so far! As requested, here's what I measured -

1st red lilac - 17 - perf 12
2nd violet - 17a - perf 12x12.15 or 12.20
3rd purplish - 17e - perf 11.75
4th brown - 17b - perf 12x11.75
5th brown (purplish tint) - 17b - perf 11.75
6th deep brown - wannabe 16 :) - perf unknown

Now comes another tricky part - deciding which ones to keep, which to sell...
