About 4 years ago I posted this this on another bulletin board. Yesterday Robert (Wert) found it and said more collectors should see it so I will share it here as well.
About 4 years ago I was able to purchase a postcard franked with a 1 cent admiral.

At the time I got this there were only 6 copies reported on postcards. This value was for paying the rate of 1c for a postcard. One might want to check their postcards of the period for another copy. These are rather hard to come by so good luck.
