as you see these were id as #24 on the back but my limited plating/ 1 cent Franklin experience thinks scott #20 (type 2) letter inside confirms 1858
is it a strip of 3 or 3 loose ones? and also there seems to be a perf missing between left and center stamp.....see my red circle. how is that possible?
Hi Dutchm I will leave most answers to the experts here, but answer one question. The missing perforation is fairly common, especially on older stamps. A perforator pin is most likely missing due to breaking. It still happens - I have several Transportation Coils from the '80's with perfs missing
Hi Dutchm To my inexperienced eye they look like 3 singles as it seems some of the perfs overlap see the bottom abutting side between stamp 2 and 3 And I agree, #20 but I'm a novice at IDing these still. Cheers
