Too bad about the damage to the left and center stamps but the one on the right looks nice. Are there any markings on the back of the cover that might help to date this? The recipient was Benjamin Franklin Stevens (named after the famous Benjamin Franklin). B. Frank Stevens was born in 1833 in Barnet, Vermont. He was the president of B.L.A. which was the Barnet Library Association. This is what they called their village's small library. It was located in a little building along with the village clerk's office. Stevens was one of the local people who donated some books to start the library.
