I don't have 50 posts yet so no one can actually trade with me yet. I'm just laying the foundation. I am fascinated by the stamps of the Companhia de Moçambique and the Compahnia do Nyassa. I still have some missing - not many - and I also have a ton of duplicates from all over the place. When I do have the required number of posts, would anyone here be willing to try to help me fill some gaps in these two companies? I'm getting used to the folks on this forum and I already feel very comfortable and chez nous.

I probably have the easy ones, but I have quite a few, so when the time comes I'd be happy to see if we can each fill a spot or two...

Tony,

I'm just awaiting the arrival of a large lot of Nyassa stamps I bought on ebay - not sure what's in it, precisely, but I know that from my point of view they're all duplicates, so if there are any that would fill any gaps in your collection I'm sure we could sort something out.

Incidentally, for the sake of completeness, have you had a look at Mozambique's issue from December 1985 on the theme of the Companies of Mozambique - four stamps, two of which feature stamps from Nyassa's 1901 King Carlos issue, and two of which feature stamps from the Mozambique Company's 1918 issue. Google "The Companies of Mozambique" "21 December 1985" and you should find it.

GS

PS - you can tell from my avatar that we have something in common!

Hi Dianne. A very kind offer, thank you. I shall be going through my two companies and putting together a couple of have/want lists within the next couple of days. I have gotten myself tangled up in a glassine of Belgian Leopold IIs and I want to get them out of my hair (what's left of it) before I move on to something else. But, again, thank you very much. See you again soon.

Hi Dianne.

I have a feeling this will not interest you - you are interested in giraffes only. But just in case other critters find a way into your folders, here's a wee little something for you:
