I own a couple of these stockbooks. They have double clear interleaving which is really is a pain in the butt. Static makes them stick together, and when they do come apart they will potentially snag the edges of stamps....not a good thing. Anyone experience this? Thinking of cutting one out. Which one? Thanks, Joel.

There are different kinds of pages you could insert between each page of the stockbook and not ruin it. At its cheapest, a plain sheet of acid-free paper would do the trick but that might not be ideal. Some stockbooks have a clear interleave that would somewhat show both sides at the same time.

Joel - I know exactly what you are saying. It drove me nuts and I went to a glassine interleaving. The clear would cling to each other and in my case would always end up bent from not laying down flat when I turned pages. And yes, the semi-stiff plastic edge would catch on stamps. Great idea but it does not work. Costs more as well.

I've used this for years on paper (in ISO compliant anti-static manufacturing environment), it works well and leaves no noticeable trace. Note: I have not sprayed it on stamps themselves and would not recommend spraying on the stamps or the sleeved page. Instead I would only spray on the glassine interleaving and allow it to dry. I would approach this as experimental (test, check, etc).

So does anybody have an opinion on removing one of the interleaves?

I have some old beat up stock books of this type that I can try using an Exacto knife on to remove a page of interleaving and report back.

I would remove whichever leaf is closer to the page on the left. Just leave the right-hand one, so it lays flat when the stockbook is opened, or the page is turned. Other than that, I don't see it makes any difference which one goes.

Well I removed the left interleaving on the lefthand page. Works a heck of a lot better.
