Thanks rodgcam, I would also like to find more information about the process, All I found was it's in the drying method.

(Bump) Sorry 22crows, didn't see your reply, yes I've been there :) I think my catalogues provided more, but not exactly what I was looking for. Ended up finding a paper online about the subject that sort of explained, Still not a picture perfect though.

Quote: Can a signoscope detect watermark #166? I have had a very poor response with Signoscope. I have not had it very long, so I feel I may be missing something. I know the stamp back, has to be pristine, no part hinges No watermark fluid For something so expensive, I am surprised at the results. |

Thanks rod, Can I ask what brand and model number your using? I was recently given some information that I'm questioning, (probably shouldn't it comes from a good source) Just feel I should double check, could have been a generic response,

A most generous gift from SCF member "Calstamp" Employing on 2 AA Batteries, have not tried the 3v plug do not have the AC adaptor. At this stage, I would not recommend it. That image in the lens on the boxcover, is misleading in my opinion. (photoshopped) The next watermark detector I would like to road test, is the doohickey with replaceable coloured lenses. |

Thanks rod, I was looking at the SAFE T3 but for what it cost $$$ Thinking I'll have to pass, (for now) not being sure if it would do The job.
I'm hoping that it was just a generic reply I got, Maybe it was thought I was talking about WMK #168 That would make more sense to me.
