Here is a 1735i "Health Professional" stamp issued June.25.1998.
LAC and Catalouges suggest perforation is 12.5 x 12.5

My question is why one of my stamps shows perforation 12.8 x 12.5..??
Asking any one out there to take a look at their 1735i's and see if this perforation difference is acceptable or not.

Robert

Hey Robert,

My measure on this one is 12.7 x 12.5
Close to yours - maybe a perf gauge issue (Instanta at least 20 years old) or simply what my eyes say is the closest measurement.

Thanks for checking Peter

12.7 or 12.8 can be our eyes and the way we look at the gauge.
Need a couple more guys to chime in to solidify this different perforation.

Robert:

You e-mailed me directly about this one back on September 18, 2020.

My reply was:

I get 12.7 x 12.5, so yes, a correction has been made to the catalogue (for the 2022 edition).

Of more importance is the elongated perf. tip at the bottom of each vertical column of perfs, found on all of these stamps.

Here is what the 2022 Unitrade will show:

Wow! I wish the Australian Commonwealth Specialist Catalogue was as transparent and open to change as this.
