New-Ish To Collecting Stamps

Hello! It's good to say something after reading all the great posts on here for about a month. I've always been a collector of ephemera and books, but only on Christmas did my father gift me his smallish collection of worldwide stamps. Stamps are perfect in my opinion because they're small, portable (unlike the many books I have , and have beautiful art.

I've come to love Yugoslavian stamps, particularly pre-WW2 stamps and Serbian occupation stamps. I also love Lithuanian, Polish, Civil War Russian, and Latvian goodies, as I study Eastern Europe and its languages and this is the perfect complement to that. Excited to be here!

Collecting for the enjoyment of collecting, whatever that might be, is the name of the game. Don't hesitate to ask questions especially if you need basic information and especially more advanced sources of information for any possible topic. You should be able to find folks on this board a little further along on their collecting journey glad to share experiences. Russ
