It really doesn't instill confidence when high profile dealers, you know, the ones taking out full page full color ads in publications, are so frequently found to be listing bogus material.
The phrase "trawling for suckers" comes to mind.

The following are unquestionably bogus based on margins, cancel date, ink shade, and impression: R77a, R83a, R82a (far right), first R84a, R87a. The second R84a *might* be genuine, but the cancel date is late and the color shade is darker than one would expect. I wouldn't touch it without a PF cert. Some of the $5 imperfs would bear close scrutiny as well.
That's the majority of the claimed catalog value.
