Some people pushed back and Bobby decided that it was not worth it.
The push back was just wrong, and some people made totally incorrect legal and ethical claims; I tried to keep things straight but obviously failed. If anyone had bothered to search online, they would have quickly found out that there is an entire 3rd party industry established that does nothing but provide sales and seller analysis based upon all
ebay 'sold' data. (Simply search for '
ebay sales analysis').
ebay not only publishes the 'sold' information publicly, but they provide developer tools (both free and paid version) that allows the sales/seller data to be pulled from their databases. Many companies have paid
ebay to have deeper access to their databases and you can pay them to 'see how your sales and prices compare to your competitors on
ebay'.

ebay but they have turned it into a profit center.
In my opinion social media is a total mess; it is now common that people will push back and get opinions they do not agree with scrubbed. This community is not immune to the same thing that is going on in other social media venues.
I am sorry, I thought the thread had value and I do not support bending to push back that was clearly wrong.
