Hi, I got this 1920 Deutsche Reich stamp. Stampworld suggests the lilac/purple variant is not that abundant if used/stamped, but while the more brown/red tinted ones are. Realizing it may be difficult to judge, I do call for a second opinion the colour here, please.
Also, do any collectors care if cancels are nicely readable like this? Or do prominent cancels only decrease in value because they cover more of the stamp itself? Still learning...

The expensive one is blackish grey lilac. That is quite a dark shade. There also seems to be a brown-lilac that has a lower catalogue price, but still higher than the lighter colours. Your stamp appears to be the commoner more reddish lilac.

Cancellations can add value when they are clean and readable, but preferably light.

It very difficult to tell shades from a single scan, but IMHO, this is a shade that's not listed on Stampworld. Stampworld lists two shades, Scott lists three, and Michel lists six.

You can see them side-by-side on my website here.

This is Michel 115 a, which isn't listed in Scott or on Stampworld. 2021 CV for used is 12€.
