Found this one unmounted in the bottom of a box.

It is perf 13 1/2 x 12 1/2
Red 2D KGV Die II

But the 203 watermark does not seem to be there. Included are scans of a regular Scott 71 with 203.

Can anyone make out the wmk. If so what am I more likely looking at?

Thank you

I have nothing, excepting......

There appears to be a faint vertical line. on the left hand edge near the perforations.
May indicate an edge stamp.
Unusual for the sideface to not show a Wmk
Presuming the stamp, is clear of any debris on the back.
Could be Sc#116

Yes I would say it's Scott 116 too. The dated postmark fits the bill.

I suppose you are talking about the bottom stamp. I would say I see a crown in the top left corner and below it just below half-height.

Yep....right again folks. Once you steered me in the right direction I took the stamp and used an old light filter wmk detector and sure enough there is wmk 228 there. Couldn't see it with the fluid.
Its a Scott 116.

Thanks a ton.
