Good day,

So, yesterday, US Scott number 67 showed up at my house. At the time I purchased it, it was the most I had spent for a stamp. (I have gone a little higher since then.)

As someone building a collection on a budget, and this being my most expensive album page to date, at $99.03, I really wanted to share it and some of my favorites from it.

I had another example, but it was a really crisp impression and presented well.

It was a little while after I acquired this partial patriotic cover that I noticed the initials on the dog's collar - JD - presumably for Jefferson Davis.

I believe I acquired this cover during the time, early in Covid, when I was lonely and was putting in 25 cent bids on absolutely all US covers listed with free shipping. When it arrived, I noticed that the lower right corner appeared to have a good bit of *something* folded up underneath.

With a tiny bit of distilled water, I was able to pull out the fragment that you see here without disturbing anything else.

This is my favourite series from the USA.

Thank you for sharing!
