Hi, I got this 3 reichsmark German stamps with posthorn. It is a bicolor (red w yellow font). I'm a bit lost as to what type this is exactly. I turned them both upside down inside out also using a bright light - no watermark. Normally I see watermarks pretty easy on similar German stamps, even same series. The website I am not allowed to mention name says there are bicolor versions from 1921, 1922 and 1923, but all with a watermark. Stampworld is not that clear about watermarks, but suggests the first version (1921) may be without.

That stamp has a watermark.

Not to pub my own stuff, but for identifying Germany pre-1945, you might try my site. It's more thorough than the others you mentioned. You can use the search function to filter down to the stamp you're looking for, then click Link at right to go to that stamp's page.

Its always a good idea to scan and blow up any stamps in questions. I have been able to answer many questions when its on the screen in front of me instead of a magnifying glass.
