So I got wormholed last night and watermarked a bunch of kgv I had found
While serving the net for any info
I came across three wmk's that where a challenge I kind left them for the night
I went back today to check with fresh eyes.....nope couldn't make it all out
Too much gunk on them!
So I did what I read to clean the gunk off
I gotta a couple hours to wait for them to dry but I peeked and took a quick sharp shot of them to see if it got any better some did,
But I stall can't figure out the one
Maybe I've been looking at it too long again :)
I didn't see Anything on the watermarks of kgv sites and well clearly could have missed something or be looking at it all wrong....a GVR and crowns wmk?
It might still be not clean enough and heck I'm probably seeing it all wrong
But I'd appreciate some thoughts

The three I'll add watermark in same order

Next up had to be soaked cleaned after seeming AW :)

The last two seemed busier then others (probably just the junk on it)

I though why not clean and check them (Not sure if I did a good job cleaning them)
Probably nothing much but fun

KGV Sidefaces.

Place in COOL clean water, 15 minutes, clean any debris or mucilage,
You can see the watermarks here, segregate into types.
Carrying on
Pat dry on CLEAN dish dryer cloth.
Place Face up on a A4 freezer bag on a piece of A4 paper.
Place an A4 paper over the top
Place this "sandwich" inside a book, with weight on top ( a clean brick)

Wait 3 days, remove and watch them float off the freezer bag
in beautiful condition.
You oft (Now) can see the Wmk without fluid.

A clean flat stamp, is a joy to behold

If you have learnt to hinge properly, make up a stock sheet
Indicate Scott number and Wmk, and build you material.
Then you can search for varieties to your hearts content.

Scott #71

I've started a small stock book but not one of my bigger interests to collect
I just check random stuff at times (dip my toes in the water) and learn a little and mess up a lot
Have fun and learn a little

I think I finally found a rare one
a well centred watermark!
(I just thought it funny a lot of the posts I've been reading joked about how it was more rare to find a well Placed wmk) though this could be true, it's the only one I've found
