I have been watching this forum for some time now. Started many years ago with some passed down collections. Mostly used world collections with a large gift of three Minkus world stamp albums. Decided to go Canadian about 10 years ago and have graduated to Canadian mint in lighthouse albums. The more I got involved the more I craved an album that had all varieties. Alas such a thing does not exist so I started creating my own about a year ago and have progressed from 1851 to 1970. Working my way up to 2000, which is where I stopped collecting. Right now I am concentrating on Newfoundland and getting into perforation varieties. Big task ahead of me. Anyway glad to be finally on the forum.

Woody,

Collecting for the enjoyment of collecting, whatever that might be, is the name of the game. Don't hesitate to ask questions especially if you need basic information and especially more advanced sources of information for any possible topic. You should be able to find folks on this board a little further along on their collecting journey glad to share experiences.

Thank you all for your replies. ignorans, my next tasks are to figure out how to set up an avatar and how to post pictures in the forum as I am an old dog and this is a new trick. I have a scanner on my printer but have never used. No better time to learn. Hopefully I will pop up next in a Newfoundland forum as I do have some questions.
