Looking For Confirming Example Of R17c (3-Cent Playing Cards) Plate Scratches

R17c is a moderately scarce stamp (current catalog value $200), so not very much plating has been done.

I stumbled across the stamp below on a CDV. For one, the centering is VERY nice, but the second thing I noticed are what appear to be plate scratches across the top. However, without a confirming example, it could just be printing/inking anomalies.

So if anyone has seen an example of R17c exhibiting the same scratches, please contact me.

Very nice example. I would think a plate scratch would be thinner, so I'm voting for an inking anomaly. Let's see what others have to add.

To me it looks like there was something on the plate which got inked, perhaps a splinter.

Beautiful copy. Looks more like post "plate wiping residue" versus "plate scratches". A closer scan may hold the answer.
