My thoughts after reading about the watermarks of Argentina (maybe missed something)
Is that the dandy roll may have been damaged (could just be the stamp)
Any other thoughts?

Letters RA (República Argentina) in sun with rays. Some rays extend to a next sun.

I think this is what is known as "straight rays sun." It looks normal.

What makes you believe the dandy roll was broken?

Just fella...

Please share some details as to which reference works you are using to identify Argentine watermarks.

Argentina has some beautiful stamps, including a few long series that feature watermark, perforation, paper size and other varieties.

Some very informative guides and articles have been produced. So
am curious as to which you may be relying on as it pertains to this latest posting.
