Hi,
Lockdown has rekindled my enjoyment of stamp collecting. I started in 1966 as a 9 year old, first stamp England winners World Cup stamp, and carried on till I hit the dreaded teens and then it all stopped. Have acquired many old albums over the years and kept telling myself that one day I will sort them all out....... well guess what, that time has come and now I'm 64 and loving every minute of it.
Hope to pick up some useful tips.

Cheers.

Welcome. You will see that your story is familiar to many of us. I started collecting at 8, have had many hiatuses during my life, but 63 years later I am still at it. Also collecting Worldwide again, between 1840-1940, but specializing in US to 1980, Scandinavia and the Baltic's to 1983, and Hungary to 1976. I wouldn't repeat this here, but I have not yet been able to get the forum to list my collecting interests, despite repeated requests.

Also collect birds on stamps.

There is all the information you could ever want to be found on this forum.

Welcome Topmansmithy! Sounds like you are following the same path I did, a few years back now.
Started off by going through my childhood album, now have 3 shelves of albums in an ever-expanding worldwide collection!
Regards

Topmansmithy,

Collecting for the enjoyment of collecting, whatever that might be, is the name of the game. Don't hesitate to ask questions especially if you need basic information and especially more advanced sources of information for any possible topic. You should be able to find folks on this board a little further along on their collecting journey glad to share experiences. Russ
