Arrgh!

Why did someone rip this bisect out of a document, instead of leaving it intact?

Still, there probably aren't too many copies of these things around these days, in any condition.

That is why those long gone folks were called stamp collectors, not document collectors or envelope collectors.

That said, how do you treat your mail today? Will collectors 50-75 years from be asking, "why did someone..." when they handle your material? Who knows what folks will want in 50-75 years.

Now why did someone keep this intact? I doubt they expected it to be sold on ebay sometime in the future.

I think postal stationery cut-outs will make a comeback. I would never want a pile of envelopes - just want the little coloured thing in the corner. The rest is waste paper to me.

I have seen a number of these bisects like yours, but never a full document. My suspicion is that all the documents were "destroyed."
