collectors understand each other instinctively

Even broader than just stamp collecting. I sense serious collectors from all hobbies understand each other at a basic level ... the "collecting bug", whether stamps, coins, autographs, books, fossils, thimbles, bottles, beer cans, etc. I have a good friend with a collection of hundreds of antique plumb-bobs. We understand each other.

Do you use typical school binders or super souped-up binders with included slipcases that keep out soup spills?

For stamps and covers I mostly use Vario binders with slipcases (seven total at this point: three G-size for Esperanto etc. and four F-size for other topicals). But I also use Vario pages for various types of collectable cards and ephemera, and for those (as well as my Lundy stamps) I just use regular school binders and put them in file boxes to keep the dust out.

Found any good deals for less than $0.75 a pop?

I don't recall any off the top of my head, but the last time I bought 2C pages, I paid $14.95 + $4.95 shipping for a pack of 25, so about $0.80 each.
