There is at least one other state called Mahra. Listed by Gibbons, not sure if it's listed by Scott's. |

The sultanate of Mahra was a dependency of Aden, though they didn't put it on (most) of their stamps. They later became part of South Yemen, after the Aden Protectorate was no more. Gibbons and Michel list them, Scott does not. |

The only reasonably tough one from the Argentina states is Cordoba, and that's doable for somewhere around $100... |

Yeah, you see a lot of the revenues from each of the areas in Argentina. I haven't much interest in fiscals, unless they have a postal tie in, like some periods in El Salvador where they were allowed to use fiscals for postal purposes during some specific days. |

For anyone interested in starting such a collection, the Smithsonian National Postal Museum has a free, downloadable album called "A Stamp From Every Country" and has spaces for stamps from 785 stamp issuing countries/entities. There are a few mistakes, such as listing Russian precursor states under Romania, but, overall, it's a good place to start. One thing many people don't like, though, is that it is in landscape mode rather than portrait mode. https://postalmuseum.si.edu/stampga...ryalbum.html |

785 Stamp issuing countries , left that number a long time ago . The problem with collection a stamp from every entities is no two collectors will agree on all the countries.
A basic collection and a start is to use one catalog as a reference point ,then expand to the other worldwide catalogs .
Then you fall off the cliff ,then you start collecting revenues which takes you even deeper and you lose everybody else ....it is like the stamp above from CORDOBA ......yes I got stamps from CORDOBA .....which one Spain or Argentina ? Told you ,you do fall off a cliff . |
