Which Year is Correct?

Is it the issue date in Stanley Gibbons, or the year the series was issued?

SG list the release date range of the series in the heading, in this case 29 August 1979 to 1981. For stamps not issued on the initial release date, the actual release date is shown against the individual stamp's listing, in this case 21 May 1980 for the 15c denomination.
