Belgian Semi-Postal #b-265 Error, Fantasy, Or Am I Daft?

I have just noticed on the B-265 that the last E in Belgie doesn't have the accents. I've included photos of the B-266 & B-267 of the same series that show they have the accents.

Is this a normal thing for Belgium or is it an anomaly. I haven't found an explanation in my local catalogues. So any info or direction to a source would be greatly appreciated.

Another possibility is that it is a fantasy, have no way of finding out that. I have to learn to search through this communities database, back to the tutorial.

If you check this stamp on several other websites it does have the two dots, so this must be a variety. With a bit of luck a Belgium expert will ring in and tell us what is going on

@Petert4522 I was thinking the same thing. Yet I can't find any mention of a variety. I also noticed that the frame surrounding the country name is broken in many places. Where it's not on the others in this series. Hopefully a Belgian expert will notice my plight.

It also does not have the accent (') after the 'D' D HIVER.It looks like it is there but covered up due to heavy inking in some areas of the stamp.Could be the same thing for the ..

@perf12 Thanks I hadn't noticed that. This one just gets more intriguing the more I inspect it. I pulled it back out and looked at it. Yes it does look as if it was missed there is an impression I'll need to break out the microscope to check it to see if its the impression and it just missed the ink. It doesn't look as if it was inked over though.

@rod222 Thanks for the assist. The posts are helpful in knowing what possibly happened with ink spill over. Now the question is this a known varietal or just a fluke.

Personally I consider mine just an EFO or FIDO
(Errors Freaks or Oddities)

For it to be listed in a catalogue, it would have to be a damaged printing screen, which is not.
Deserves to be on an Album page with an explanatory note.

Keep scouring those stamps !

@rod222 Thanks again for the education. Never worry about me scouring the hordes. I've been doing it for way more years than I care to acknowledge. Yes it will go on display with a note as an EFO. Its part of the series I have in MH state. I always get nervous when finding Mint class stamps with a little age to them. I have a growing collection of Fakes, Forgeries, and Fantasies that are in absolute pristine condition for being 160 yrs old. I have inherited so many collections from friends and others who heard I collected stamps. I'm always cautious before declaring that rare find.
