(Efo) Errors Freaks And Oddities

It shows how paper problems can throw of printing.

The stamps carry a 1(first postal rate) it is normally in the bottom right corner, but it has almost completely found it way to the next stamp, also a few perforations and letters are of. Look at the third stamp, the space between the N and E of Nederland is bigger then in the other stamps.

Here's Germany Scott 1241. The partial stamp at the top has been cut by a dispensing machine. A new collector might believe the cuts are an extra row of perforations--it actually gauges at 14, the same as the perforations.

SC 1844 - The recalled issue with the wrong image in position 1.
A piece of paper was on the printing press creating a green donut above the traffic lights on the ten souvenir sheets I purchased from my local post office. I donated one for our club's stamp bourse door prize and gifted another.


SC (not available yet) - Misprinted 2019 Kiosk (computer generated) stamps in all four denominations. The computer printed enough stamps in a strip to create what it thought was a set of five perfect stamps. Gotta love computers.





SC 1700 - mis-die cut booklet. One of ten I purchased after a customer returned one to the post office as it was not cut properly. The orange lines indicate the actual die cut perforations. Only the horizontal cut is correct. Eight were sold at auction.

Bottom row, left hand stamp, there is a big glitch on the "C" of Canada?

Rod222 - It is a tear and I also see that I posted an incorrect SC# for the souvenir sheet. It should be SC 2844.

There is also an unusually shaped white error above the tear.

Here is a mis-perforated 4pf. Hindenburg stamp (Mi. #514) from Germany. Bought this one from a dealer's stock many years ago because I had never seen any other such stamp from this series.

I'm not a flyspecker, but this one came to my attention while working on South Africa.

This is Scott 395. There is a small white spot on the right side of the blue band. It's a recurring flaw as I have two examples with the flaw and one without.

Here is Dubai Scott 98 with the silver printing misregistered upwards by about 3mm. A normal example is next to it.
