I have the full set of ISFILA, but only crack them open when I have a mystery.

How's the binding? The few pictures I've seen make me wary about how well it would hold up.

Opinion:
Comes as a set of 2, in a robust, thick slipcase to house the duo.
Each Volume has a hard cover, pages edged with gold foil / ink ?
The Volumes open as flat as a Halibut, easily laid on a scanner platen, without risk of damage.

The cost, married to the beautifully presented work, tends to make owners like me, use probably care above and beyond what is necessary.
They were made to be used, after all, but they are the most elegant catalogues in my possession.

I am not a bookbinder, but my appraisal 10/10

The flimsy dustcovers seem extravagant, in such a slipcase, and have experienced small tears already.
