Need Help Please With Father In Law's Stamps!

Hello all!!
My name is Jim and I have to admit that I don't consider myself to be a stamp collector, but I would consider myself a "stamp accumulator".
I've been a coin collector since the 60's, but have been accumulating stamps since the mid 70's (to the tune of several hundred foreign and domestic stamps) I like the history, but have just never been able to get into the whole stamp collecting thing.
However, my wife and I are trying t reduce the "junk" in our house and recently came upon her deceased father's stamp collection. He really didn't have a lot, but when I came upon his German stamps, I thought he might have something that has some value.
As soon as I get the time, I'm going to take them to one of our local Coin and Stamp shops and have them looked at there, but figured I'd post some pictures here to see if I can get any ideas what to expect when I go see them. I very much appreciate any help that I receive!

Hello. These are inflation period stamps from the 1920s. A staple of albums from the inter-war years, and worth practically nothing in financial terms, I'm afraid.

Thanks!! I have lots more that I plan to post in the "I inherited..." forum. Are there any from that time frame that are worth anything. I'm not looking to get rich from them, actually I'm planning to give most of them away, but I don't want to just give someone something that they are going to sell for more than a few dollars.

Most of the more valuable stamps from the German Inflation years are due to subtle differences such as: perforations, color, watermarks and plate flaws. It takes some effort and expertise to find them. They are valuable because they are scarce. The chances of finding one is very small but you never know! I would suggest finding a local stamp club to see if anyone collects Germany.

In fact, the inflation was so fast during this era that a certified used copy is more valuable.

I had read something about the used stamps, sometimes, being more valuable and that kinda confused me. I do have some that are cancelled, I'll post them on the I inherited Some Stamps forum.
