This is mint Dhar 1897 ˝P black on thin brown red paper imperf. typeset stamp (SG 2) from Setting VI and position R1/2 (2) in sheet of 10 (5×2), characterized by the spade at the lower right corner rotated 90° to the left and right 3 sigmoidal designs above the top frameline being inverted.
The black oval negative handstamp on the stamp reads
RANGANATH PURUSHOTTAM, the Superintendent of Post Office, Dhar State Post, in Farsi alphabet, which was impressed on Dhar typeset stamps to validate the stamps for postal use.
