Can Anyone Tell Me How The Image On Back Of Stamp Got There?

Well, it was most like;y two stamps that stuck together and somehow got separated, leaving the ink from one of them on the gumside of the other. It looks like it is the very thin top layer of the stamp that got stuck.
It also appears another stamp was involved - I see more perforations there

It happens very easily when stamps are being soaked off in water.
The attached resulted from two stamps resting on each other when being soaked.
in this case a KGVI with QEII on reverse.
Agree with Peter.
