This is from the same Kiloware lot as the Ceylon Stamp but a completely different question. This is Bermuda Scott #53 (watermark #3) with fiscal usage, I believe. However, it is a rather interesting Cancel. When you flip the stamp it reads " ...?... Bermuda Lines" and "New York" clearly at the bottom of the Cancellation. A clear Date in 1922 is also visible.
Does this, as I suspect, have something to do with a Shipping Line? Further, since it appears to have been applied in the U.S.A., how would the stamp have been used? Passport documents, perhaps? Any insight would be helpful.
