Hi all:

I found two postally used examples of the following label in a junk lot that I was looking through today...

Anyone know the story behind this particular label?

I'm making some guesses:

1. Propaganda label
2. Used around 1960 on mail between Cuba and the USA

Anyone have more information? Thanks in advance!

Appears on a couple of auction sites as "circa 1959", when there was still hope that Washington might be reasonable -

Thank you very much for the info.

I can't find anything more extensive on this propaganda label (other than what has been posted above), so I am going to identify as "circa 1959" as to the origin date and "sent by Cuban businesses on outgoing mail" as the use/purpose...

A minor correction - the image I posted is of an unused example - the other one I have is postally used on paper (cut-out).
