Not sure if anyone here can make use of this but thought I'd pass it along.

Having been brought up by great depression era parents, I've always been good at "re-use".

As I cut my mounts and have a little bit left over and they accumulate in a small box until I finally get around to throwing them out. I've always thought there should be something I could use them for... Today, I was cleaning the office and gathering trash out by the workbench where I happened to have some HO passenger cars and structures that I was considering detailing.

It occurred to me that these little cut offs were perfect for HO scale window glass. Nice and clear, just the right stiffness.

Great idea. I will keep that in mind for my model railway.

This might be a great idea! I am in N-Scale and I am always upset that windows appear out-of-scale and clunky. The clear 'acetate' that is included with various kits is thicker than that of, say, a Showgard mount. It will be interesting to see if the mount 'acetate', being thinner, will be a good substitute. Thanks for the idea.
