Hi guys
I noticed my Scott 1882a and 1882b stamps were issued a perforation of
11.7....I noticed my 1882b stamp had a perforation on the top of 11.6 as you can see from the pictures....I took a perforation measurement a half dozen times and came out 11.6 every time.

Any validation appreciated.
Robert

Aren't you comparing apples and oranges since the suffix is different? I do not know what the difference between A & B is, can you help?

Robert, it does not explain the suffix. What is the difference between A and B?
Besides, one is used, the other not. Could that influence the (extremely minimal) difference in perforation gauge?

wert, 1882b has a value of 47 ¢, your image is 1853a of 46 ¢ from the BK227 booklet or from the 1853b sheet. All have Aston-Potter's 11.7 serpentine perforation.
Your two stamp is coming from a different printing job, this could explain this little difference.
