I've always found parcel tags to be interesting philatelic creatures. I'm always looking for examples with revenue stamps affixed paying the parcel post tax... which unfortunately are few and far between.
Even without revenue stamps, they're interesting items IMO.
As I was winding up INDYPEX for the day on Friday, Denny Peoples was showing one that he had just obtained from Jerry Koepp (Stamps N Stuff), and I bullied him into flipping it to me. He then pointed out one he had under glass that really caught my interest, so I bought it as well.
Not in my area at all, but just "neat" items.
The first tag contains a nice range of bureau issues. Sadly the cancels are not distinct, but it still makes for a nice aesthetic item IMO.

The second one, which was a bit more expensive, is more interesting IMO. It's the first example I've seen with a Scott #F1 registration stamp affxed (although admittedly since F1 isn't an area of specialization of mine, I've not looked explicitly for examples; just what I've seen when looking for tags with revenues affixed). It was sent from Bethel, Alaska to San Francisco, California. I'm assuming it was attached to a gold shipment.
The only comp I've been able to find was a similar tag with same origin and destination, lot #285 in Matthew Bennet Sale #319 (June 22, 2007) where it garnered $283 ($240 + $43 BP).
Neat item IMO.
