Hi guys.....I noticed that the so called printer quality insured by Printing Companies are not what they are made out to be. What I mean is if we compare stamps such as Scott 1374 "Alberta Peach" stamp issued under fruit trees series 1991-1995. Designed by Clermont Malenfant.
Printer Ashton-Potter founded in 1928. Purchased by MDC Corporation of Toronto in 1993. It became part of the company MDC Corporation of Toronto in 1993.
Below are two Scott 1374 "Alberto Peach" issued July.31.1995. Take a look at the obvious non print quality associated with these two stamps by Ashton-Potter Canada Limited in Toronto.
Not earth-shattering, but occurs more than we realize as collectors. Just keep your eyes open, because some of these oddities have been recognized by some stamp catalouges as varieties.
I have other oddities such as Scott 591 with one stamp coloured deep red and another Scott 591 a pink colour.
