I recently started acquiring/collecting the various revenue stamp catalogues that have been printed over the years, and I am constantly amazed by the efforts of individual collectors to create these wonderful works.

Among the books I have acquired over the past year are Volumes 1, 2, and 3 of Gene Kelly's catalogues of the fiscal stamps of Switzerland. This includes the stamps issued by the cantons, towns, and gemeinde (villages). These are not easy to find, but after some searching and a little luck, I did get these three. (Note: I am currently only seeking the catalogues for the adhesive revenue stamps and not the stamped paper)

Are there additional volumes? I have seen a couple references in "Tell" (the journal of the American Helvetia Philatelic Society) to Volumes 4 and 5.

I ask because I have noticed that there are several cantons that were not covered in Vols 1-3. Vaud Canton, for example; I have several issues that were not included in Vols. 1-3 of Mr. Kelly's works.

Also - are these popular catalogues? I have never noticed sellers referencing his catalogue numbering system...

Thanks in advance for any help.

There's at least a Volume 4 (published 1991), per the Helvetia Philatelic Society: https://swiss-philately.co.uk/library/

Ahh, thanks. That corroborates the listing in The Revenue Society (UK) library, which lists a Vol 4 as well.

The Revenue Society library listing also lists a Vol. IX, but their listings are rife with typos so I may bring this up with them, and see if someone could check on that for me.

Thanks for that info - I hadn't thought to check their library listings.

While you are on the Helvetia Philatelic Society website, search the library https://swiss-philately.co.uk/library/ for "revenue" and you will also pick up the Denis Gainon catalogs of canton stamps.

I have just found a SUPPLEMENT to Gene Kelley's Volumes I, II and III which references:
Vol I: Oct 1986 #TX1955160
Vol II: Nov 1987 #TX2416052
Vol III: July 1990 #TX2999392
Vol IV: June 1991
I suspect that Vol IV is the Supplement.
