Thanks for sharing the news, however sad. It is rare to find someone with Robert's passion for both stamp hunting and the enthusiasm to share his journey. He started threads here that have led to pages, and years, of lively discussion. Collectors like Robert are the lifeblood of discussion boards such as these. |

I am very sad to hear about this. Robert has always been very supportive and enthusiastic about my posts on here especially regarding stamp perforations. He always shared with us his knowledge and passion for the hobby and his observations and discoveries of different varieties. He was always very helpful with his posts and contributions here. He will be greatly missed. |

Every day I read most of the new posts on the site. I have never missed one of Robert's posts. A great loss to the community. Condolences to his family and friends.

This is a shock to me as Robert emailed each other 2 weeks ago when he noticed I was from Atlantic Canada.
RIP Robert. |

Reading thru the posts it really reminds me of all the nice things that Robert had done and it is a lasting achievement. I could always count on seeing something interesting on SCF because of his posts. He will surely be missed by the Chat board community as well as the Canadian Stamp collecting community as a whole.
God love him and rest in peace Robert. Your gift to all of us will keep on giving. |

Sad news indeed. Robert was more than a pillar of the community here. He was at times the lifeblood of this forum and a devoted poster who started many interesting topics and contributed enthusiastically to others. A self-proclaimed and devoted flyspecker, he was one of the inspirations for the name of my website, flyspecker.com.
He will be missed. RIP my friend. |

Very sad news. Robert went to great lengths offline to help me with some questions I had about Canadian stamps. His contributions will be sorely missed...... RIP
