Hello. That sheet was issued in lithography after modifying the original plate, 17,000 copies were made and the catalog value is above 80.-€. That same year, 100 imperforate sheets of intaglio were printed from the original plate with the legend "República Española", like the original stamps and the republican coat of arms. Its catalog value is above 5,000.-€ Regards. |

Lovely sheet ! Eli, Not seen before. Thanks for the extra info, Roberto. Detail of previous stamp Ermita de Marcus (Marcus Hermitage) LocationBarcelona, Spain This small Romanesque church was built in the 12th century using the stone from Barcelona's Montjuïc. The construction was financed by Bernat Marcús, who also established a hospital here. |

Actually, the name is "Capella de Marcús" (Catalan for "chappel"), in Barcelona, Catalonia. Built on the XII century outside the Roman walls of Barcelona, on the road heading North, on Romanesque style, between XII -XVII. centuries It was the siege of the "Comfraria de Troters" (postmen Gild). From the entrance of the chappel, a priest blessed. the postmen going on a (often) dangerous) journey. It's one of the icons of Catalan postal history. |

No cumulative index that I have found. But content-wise -
I - 1850-1900 - 19th century II - 1901-1939 - Alfonso II and Republic III - 1936-1975 - Spanish State IV - 1975-2000 - Juan Carlos I V - 2001-2016 - Juan Carlos I & Felipe VI VI - Barcelona, Asturias y Leon, Beneficencia (charity), Canarias, Franchises, Telegraphs, Postal Stationery, Etiquettes VII - Deluxe Proofs, Promotional sheets (souvenir) etc, Civil war Local & Patriotic, First flights VIII - African dependencies - Cape Juby, Elobey etc, Fernando Po, Spanish Guinea IX - African dependencies - Ifni, La Aguera, Morocco, Rio de Oro, Rio Muni, Spanish Sahara, Tangiers X - Overseas colonies (Spanish Antilles/Cuba, Philippines, Puerto Rico, Marianas), Spanish Andorra
Newest edition has bronze covers (currently up to volume IV), Edifil seems to be issuing 1-2 a year. Previous edition was blue and is complete. Also an older red cover edition. (Have several of them, will buy more as I acquire new material, so this list will be a good reference for me too!) |

I wasn't expecting that Greg ! Marvelous. Thank you. I have the burgundy covered editions 2011 Beautiful catalogues, lovely to handle. Expensive blighters, I snap them up when the price is right. Perhaps I was expecting too much, I was disappointed even some of the "especial movils" were not listed in my editions. I was at a loss to find these, (still getting to know the catalogues) |

Spain Municipal Charity stamp Santa Cruz de Tenerife 2 pesetas Date unknown. The first years of the last century saw in Spain the beginnings of what we could call social protection. We have already told you about some of the organizations created over the years to protect groups considered to be the most disadvantaged: the Women's Protection Board , the Provincial Hygiene Institutes or the Health Associations . Today we want to tell you the story of another of those organizations: The Board for the Protection of Minors. In 1904, a "Superior Council for the Protection of Children and Extinction of Begging" was created, which would have the corresponding provincial Boards, but in reality these organizations did not begin to function until 1908, when their regulations were published. It is interesting to review some of the functions attributed to it: protection and protection of pregnant women; regulation of "mercenary lactation"; investigation of the harm or exploitation that children with or without parents may be subjected to; protection of "morally abandoned" children; paternal protection of "the so-called rebellious, incorrigible or delinquents"; care of the education and instruction of "the so-called abnormal", or the creation of an International League for the Protection of Children. https://ahpto.wordpress.com/2020/10...-de-menores/ |

Rod, here are so,me relevant page entries from the Edifl revenue catalog, for 5 of the 6 stamps you posted yesterday. 1st stamp, 1st row and 2nd stamp 2nd row 1st stamp, 2nd row 3rd stamp, 2nd row (Nice one, which I haven't seen before) 2nd stamp, first row The 3rd stamp in the first row appears to be a charity label and is beyond the scope of the Edifil revenue catalog |
