The magazine is listed in "American Philatelic Periodicals" by Chester M. Smith, Jr. The first entry is given as:
20710. Philatelic Gossip. Holton, KS, etc.: Printorium. v. 1 n. 1 Jun 1915 to v. 6 n. 2 Jun 1920. n 1 to 60. Merged with #11470.
The second entry is:
20720. Philatelic Gossip. Holton, KS: A.V. Dworak. v. 6 n. 1 Apr 1922 to v. ? n. ? Jun 1940. n. ?.
Magazine #11470 is The Hobby Rider, which is itself continued as #11570, The Hobby Rider and Philatelic Gossip, which then becomes #11480, again using the name The Hobby Rider.
It is indeed a very confusing run.

I have scanned the entries for Philatelic Gossip in the card catalogue for The Collectors Club of New York.
You have to feel for the poor librarian trying to keep track of this as the copies came in each week, then each month.
The original scan is not of good quality, but does provide some very useful information.

That HathiTrust link is a really a delight..scans of 1,000+ pages from this publication from more than 100 years ago, really fun to look through, I didn't even realize how well developed the hobby was at the time. I see they also have several thousand pages of American Philatelist from 1889-1922. Any other relevant publications which might be worth looking up?

All,
I have gotten the first 100+ Gosspis digitized and published for free download; you can access them here https://stampsmarter.org/Learning/Home_Gossip.html
Over time more issues be added but you will need to check the page (I typically do not update threads like this after an initial population of a Library shelf).

Thank you for this project! I work in an archive and came across an undated copy of an article from this magazine. Based on information in the article and your database I think I can date the article to 1960. You made my work a little easier today!

Awesome, I've been checking these out from my local Philatelic Library for
years, what if any issues are you missing, I can see if we have them
and digitize?

Certainly, it would be great if anyone can help with this project. If folks want to just scan them and get the images to me, I can do the OCR and add them to the library.

I am a new member that saw 51Studebaker's post requesting copies of Weekly Philatelic Gossip publication to digitize.
I have about 42 copies spanning 56,57,58,59 and 60.
Most are in 57.
I am offering them to the community but don't know the process.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Wes

I have been a bit inactive over the last week due to medical issues. I'll be in touch, thank everyone for their interest.
