Here's mine, from Montreal, beat you by an hour

I like this non-slogan as well, just a shame it's not a FDC

It might not be a FDC, but it was cancelled on the day of the coronation, which makes it an interesting item (especially given the place name).

I am FAR too blinkered on my King, King George V. I should have seen the relevance, so thanks for pointing it out 22crows!

...and if it had had a coronation cachet,
it may have been a maxi-envelope

Shame we can't go back and correct those little omissions, isn't it?

Greetings

Nice slogan cancels to say the least.

It is interesting to note that there were 21 post offices that used that particular slogan cancellation: - - - - Calgary, Charlottetown, Edmonton, Fort William, Fredericton, Halifax, Hamilton, London, New Westminster, North Battleford, Ottawa, Port Arthur, Regina, Regina, Terminal "A", Saint Jogn, Saskatoon, Toronto, Vancouver, Victoria, Windsor and Winnipeg

Also note that if you are lucky enough to come actrss one from North Battleford, that this is the most expensive one and few are seen.

There is also a French version of the flag cancellation htat reads
"CORONATION COURONNNEMONT MAY - 12 - MAI / 1937 HM GEO VI / S.M. ELIZABETH" which was used only from the Provibce of Quebec and from 2 cities only, those being, Montreal and Quebec City.

Good luck

Bujutsu

Jubilee:

Nice cover postmarked on Coronation Day at Coronation, Alberta. See my KGVI Reign Series for more information on Coronation covers.

I hope to have my new scanner working in the next week so I can continue my KGVI series.

David

Onetoe58: I'm using an old catalogue but isn't that the 4c Canada Scott#234.

Great covers for the 3c Canada Scott#237 and Coronation. Alberta! You can't beat that - this is better than TV!
