R133Ap1 Or Facsimile Sold On Ebay

eBay seller CKStamps listed the item below with one of its typically detailed descriptions of "US Stamps Collection Unused NH NG Proof?" Illustrated is something resembling R133AP1, a proof of the authorized but unissued $5,000 documentary stamp. The proof does not match any of the known copies in Kingsley's book. The scan is not of sufficient resolution to see if it is actually engraved. Based on the seller, description ("Proof?"), and the fact that the scan of the back does not resemble an India paper proof, I did not bid. However, the item brought $1,325. Does anyone know what this was? I assume some type of copy or facsimile. Or did I miss a great opportunity?

I did not think that the item looked engraved (look at the portrait area). There was also a $200 first issue that appeared to be printed in the same manner on the same paper. Personally, I think someone spent a lot of money on some kind of worthless reproduction.

Noticed the engraved lines and sharp dots in the vignette. The sold item is very flat and shows no signs of engraving.

This one looks engraved; it's much more "alive" rather then flat.

thanks all - the scan of the back of the "proof" in the original listing did not look like copy paper, but maybe that is what it is. I thought maybe someone could identify the source as a philatelic label or something similar. I believe there was a SIPEX souvenir sheet but in black and white.

There is a reason that CK ended the listing title with a question mark. He knows full well it is not genuine and the question mark is a pathetic way of saying "not guaranteed" while still appealing to gamblers.
