I have four different invoices with numerous items in each over the last 3 weeks with HIPstamp (Rosenberg) - none of which have been shipped. I've also left messages to no avail - nobody is responding.

HIPstamp sent an announcement about a new "app" and website today, but it doesn't appear to be there yet - no indication when it will be actually available. I assume the new website/apps have something to do with the lack of attention to customers, but communication has been poor (none), so who knows?

Does anybody have a clue what's going on with them?

Everything is normal on HS from my perspective - lots of buyers buying, messaging system working, no system issues.

Sounds like they are perhaps neglecting their own shop in the process of getting these new features up and running. The website overhaul sounds like it will be soon, the apps later. I used to work with software developers, in my experience "soon" could equally be tomorrow or be next year...

I made a stamp purchase on hipstamp about a week ago ... it arrived today. So I see no problems. I agree with the previous post about software development. In my experience, software projects were 95% complete 95% of the time.

I abandoned my presence on hipstamp after the ebay sync failure fiasco late last year. I won't be returning. I get that technical problems/hurdles can arise, but the fact that Rosenberg never once made a public statement, never once sent any communication to sellers regarding the failure (thus leaving sellers to discover the sync communication failure on their own and deal with the consequences), and support tickets inquiring about the issue went unanswered without any resolution timeframe, implies to me that they were simply trying to cover up the problem and pretend it didn't exist (I guess when you've just raised several million dollars in capital funds, you can skate for a while).

The problem is still not fixed with still no explanation as to the source of the problem.

Nah, I'm done with them. Fool me once...

Rosenberg Philatelics is not the only seller on hipStamp, and not all sellers notify HS that they have shipped. I've had several orders just appear in the mail delivery while my purchase record does not indicate they were shipped. It's pretty much hit-and-miss.

Yeah the whole ebay sync thing was not handled well. I don't use it at all, but understand the frustration of those who did.

Pretty clear that what happened is that ebay changed their interface software (permissions or architecture) and that stopped Hip from being able to update ebay's system when items sold on Hip. Now the interface is partially back, but only works one way - from ebay to Hip. (technically speaking Hip now only has read-only, but not write access to ebay's API). Now sellers request, and Hip will close items on ebay now for them (I don't know the specifics).

IMO, Hip was fortunate ebay allowed them to hook into their API for so long for the 2-way sync process. It's the danger of being the tail on the big dog....

The new one-way sync does not work well. There are some fields that are not copied over including the custom code (SKU) which I use for bookkeeping. Also I have not gotten clarity on modifications. It appears that new items in ebay get copied over, but modifications do not. I'm not going back until I hear that at least they have full one way sync working. I'm ok with deleting ebay lots that sell on hip if they can't get that working.

Yeah, the SKU field not carrying through is a dealbreaker IMO, regardless of how semi-functional Sync v2.0 is.
